“I’m Stuck in My Mouth Like Dog Hair” was started in 2022 as a thesis project and is an ongoing series. The photos depict close friends and family wearing casts of my face. The work struggles with trying on the personalities of friends and family and searching to draw the line between one’s true self versus the false self the world has assigned you. Using exact copies of something as personal as my face, I abstract the identity of the wearer and myself.
